The adhesives are classified according tothe use characteristics
1. Water-soluble adhesives
Water as the solvent binder, there arestarch, dextrin, polyvinyl alcohol, carboxymethyl cellulose and so on.
2. Hot-melt adhesives
The adhesive is melted by heating and isused as a solid binder. General thermoplastic resin can be used, such aspolyurethane, polystyrene, polyacrylate, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer.
3. Solvent-based adhesives
Do not dissolve in water and soluble in asolvent binder. Such as shellac, butyl rubber.
4. Emulsion type adhesive
More in the water was suspended, such asvinyl acetate resin, acrylic resin, chlorinated rubber.
5. Solventless liquid adhesive
At room temperature was viscous liquid, such as epoxy resin.
Adhesive is the medium between the labelmaterial and the bonding substrate, which acts as a bond. According to itscharacteristics can be divided into two kinds of permanent and removable. Ithas a variety of formulations, suitable for different materials and differentoccasions. Adhesive is the most important component in the technology ofadhesive material, and is the key of label application technology.
